English version for foreign affiliates

Affiliates of AFP INTEGRA who live permanently outside Peru can apply for the accumulated balance in their Individual Capitalization Account to be transferred abroad.

Affiliates who wish to do so, must submit the required documentation in person at any of our Client Service Centers.

Foreign Affiliates: Documents necessary

1. Application to AFP Integra in which the affiliate:

  • States that he(she) wishes to transfer his(her) pension fund abroad.
  • Gives a physical address, e-mail address and contact telephone number.

2. A sworn statement for confirmation of evidence (model provided by AFP Integra).

3. Copy of employment certificate provided by last employer in Peru , showing that the affiliate no longer works for that employer (if the affiliate was an employee). This certificate should have been issued no later than 6 months earlier.

4. Legalized copy of the document issued by the Ministry of the Interior - Bureau of Migration and Naturalization, authorizing the affiliate to leave Peru permanently and canceling his(her) resident’s visa, as well as a copy of his(her) passport details page.

Peruvian citizens holding double nationality do not need to submit the above-mentioned certificate, but must provide a copy of both passports as well as a certificate or proof from the competent authority in the foreign country, expressly stating that the affiliate is a citizen of that country. In that case the affiliate may choose to process his(her) application as a Peruvian or a foreign citizen. (See information for Peruvian affiliates).

5. Original or legalized copy of the certificate issued by the foreign institution stating the following:

  • That the affiliate has paid a minimum of 36 months’ contributions to a pension system before or after leaving the country.
  • That coverage of the risks of old age or retirement is provided.
  • Whether the pension system operates under the distribution or individual accounts system.

6. Details of the bank account into which the money will be transferred:

  • If the affiliate has contributed to an individual account system abroad, the institution should provide a letter containing the name and registered office of the foreign bank or financial institution to which the money will be transferred, account number and Swift code.
  • If the affiliate belonged to a distribution accounts system, he(she) should ask his(her) bank abroad for a letter confirming the name and registered office of the bank, the affiliate account holder’s name and the account number.

Affiliates currently living abroad:

If the affiliate is currently living abroad he(she) may conduct this procedure through an attorney-in-fact in Peru , who can deliver the documentation and start the procedure on his(her) behalf.

The powers of attorney should be legalized by he Peruvian Consulate in the country of residence and should state clearly that the affiliate will apply for his(her) contributions to be transferred abroad, together with details of the transfer destination (bank, account number) and complete information on the attorney-in-fact (full name, identity document number, address and telephone number).

In addition, the power of attorney should be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Peru .

Affiliates making double contributions:

Affiliates who have been making simultaneous contributions to AFP Integra and an individual capitalization account pensions system in another country, should submit a copy of the account statement of the foreign entity detailing all periods for which contributions have been made so that these contributions can be transferred to his(her) personal bank account.

Retired affiliates or those who have already acquired the right to retirement:

Retired affiliates or those who have already acquired the right to retirement from the foreign pensions entity may replace the certificate mentioned under point 5 with a communication stating that he(she) has met the requirements for retirement or already receives a retirement pension, as the case may be.

In addition, if a pension is already being paid abroad it is not necessary to submit the document issued by the Ministry of the Interior’s Bureau of Migration and Naturalization.
